Why cant i JSON.parse string inside an object

Vote count: 0 taking this Object: var event = {selector: 'title'} event.selector //'title' typeof event.selector //string but JSON.parse(event.selector) //VM1487:1 Uncaught SyntaxError: Unexpected token i(…) If i run it manually JSON.parse('title') it works... It works as follows: JSON.parse(JSON.stringify(event.selector)) but this seams to me as wrong. Do you know why this happends? P.S.: I guess this question was answered already but i can not express the question i guess. asked 29 secs agoFloo0 Let's block ads! بخوانید...

How do i declare custom generated strings inside a while loop?

Vote count: 0 What i'm trying to do is to declare a certain amount of strings according to the amount of tokens a scaer scans in a single input, then have these strings equal the next input. This is what i'm trying: int numberOfTokens = 0; boolean mainLoop = true; Scaer input = new Scaer(System.in); while(mainLoop == true) { while(input.hasNext()) { String int(+ numberOfTokens) = input.next(); (this doesn't work) numberOfTokens += 1; } } I hope I made it clear of what I am trying to do. I tried using String arrays, but they won't work for what i'm trying to do. Thanks. asked 4 mins agoJava Noob Let's block ads! بخوانید...

Cannot seem to stop the page from overflowing on the right side

Vote count: 0 Been messing about with web page development and for some reason the page I created will spill over into the right side creating a scroll bar :/ I've tried loads of different CSS bits and bobs but didn't have any luck. I think it's to do with the SVG, the page animates when you scroll over the black logo at the top of the page, but it only seems to dig into the right side. I've uploaded it all to codepen: http://tinyurl.com/zjmuwnt Any ideas would be great. asked 4 mins agojchaockx Let's block ads! بخوانید...

Side-by-side versions of Visual Studio

Vote count: 0 I have VS 2015 Community full pack installed (44 GB as far as I saw) and I have to do a project in VS 2010 C# Express (i have to make a video about using that interface for my classmates at high-school, so i can explain them how to implement a database). The idea is that i want to know if I can install VS 2010 and still keep the VS 2015 and, after I finish, to uninstall 2010 safely (I've waited 4 hours to install VS 2015 and I don't want to waste that time). Thanks a lot! :) I've searched before posting this but in one place I saw that i can't do it, somewhere else i saw that i can't do it so I don't know what to believe. Why are new programming languages shifting types to the other side?

Vote count: 0 If you look at Rust, Go, Swift, TypeScript and a few others, and compare them to C/C++, the first thing that I noticed was how the types have moved positions. int one = 1; In comparsion to: let one:int = 1; My question: Why? To me, personally, it is weird reading type specifiers that far into the line, since I am very used to them being on the left. So it interests me on why the type specifiers are being moved - and this not being the case with just one, but many mode/new languages that are on the table. asked 1 min agoIngwie Phoenix Let's block ads! بخوانید...

NSTextField (inside NSTableView) NULL Placeholder showing on empty string

Vote count: 0 So I have a NSTextField, which is bound to the objectValue of the NSTableCellView. I'm filling in the table using NSTableViewDataSource via: func tableView(tableView: NSTableView, objectValueForTableColumn tableColumn: NSTableColumn?, row: Int) -> AnyObject? I've put a NULL Placeholder (for example "NULL") which is showing in both cases: when I retu nil and when I retu "" (empty string) as objectValue. What I'm expecting is the Placeholder to appear only when the value is nil. Please advise ... maybe I'm doing something fundamentally wrong. asked 1 min agoIvaylo Nikolov This entry passed through the Full-Text RSS service - if this is your content and you're reading it on someon...

Bootstrap row not aligning to right side of container

Vote count: 0 This is driving me nuts and it seems like the solution is a simple one I am overlooking. I have a row of three images and it is my understanding that bootstrap takes care of the alignment of content. Python keeps overwriting argument, even when copied in or outside of function

Vote count: 0 my first question here. I hope I can make it as clearly and informative as possible. Currently using python, and new to it. I love the language though, alot of simplifications that keep your code very dense. I currently have a function that accepts an argument, that argument constantly gets overwritten even if I copy it to a local variable inside the function. Even when copied outside of the function (and the argument passed to the function) it overwrites the original argument here the function: The argument I'm talking of is resultsvalidationparam. It might be a straightforward mistake as I've staring at this for a while now, but I couldn't find an answer to my problem on the ...

Load SystemJS module inside of System.import() promise callback

Vote count: 0 I asked a question recently to see if it's possible to conditionally load modules based on selectors on the page (e.g, by id, data-* attribute). The answer indicated that this could be done in the following way: const map = { '#one': 'one', '#two': 'two' }; for (let selector in map) { if (document.querySelector(selector)) { System.import(map[selector]); } } To follow-up with this, I want to know if it's possible to System.import() inside of a .then promise callback of a System.import. For example: System.import('map').then(function(m) { var map = m[0]; for (let selector in map) { if (document.querySelector(selector)) { System.import(map[selector]); } } }); When I run this, I re...

Azure hosted website with GoDaddy on the side using SendGrid

Vote count: 0 I am trying to understand how all this works, this a how it fits together question rather than a how to do it question. My plan is to move my current GoDaddy ASP.Net website to Azure. GoDaddy will not scale and its database it unreliable. The GoDaddy website has the purchased URL and email based addresses using myUrl, noreply@myUrl.com and contact email I correspond to. From what I have read, from Azure I probably want to use SendGrid instead of GoDaddy to send website emails, I may eventually have thousands of non-spam emails eventually. protractor with loop inside another loop
