I am trying to understand how all this works, this a how it fits together question rather than a how to do it question.

My plan is to move my current GoDaddy ASP.Net website to Azure. GoDaddy will not scale and its database it unreliable. The GoDaddy website has the purchased URL and email based addresses using myUrl, noreply@myUrl.com and contact email I correspond to.

From what I have read, from Azure I probably want to use SendGrid instead of GoDaddy to send website emails, I may eventually have thousands of non-spam emails eventually. Leaving my email support correspondence with GoDaddy email abilities. I have read about problems using SendGrid from a GoDaddy based website but my situation is different where I am using a GoDaddy based from email (noreply@myUrl.com on GoDaddy) sent from an Azure website.

My question, should this all be fairly straight forward to implement? Will the GoDaddy port limitations matter at all if I am just using a GoDaddy based From email address?

I caot find much online about SendGrid regarding the email source providers. I have read about SendGrid dealing with replies to emails which makes no sense to me, based on my understanding of SendGrid. Wouldn't any SendGrid replies go to the email provider (GoDaddy email for me)?

Thanks, George
