Get Geolocation information from external API using Parallel programming

Vote count: 0 I am using postcodes.io api to get Geolocation information based on postcodes. It's working fine. But this API has a limitation that it can accept only 100 postcodes per request. I have around 300 postcodes. I am thinking of making calls to API parallely and aggregate the response after getting everything. var httpClient = _httpClientFactory.GetHttpClient("GeolocationAPI", postCodeServiceUrl, _httpLogger); // chunks the list by 100 items and retus the collection var postcodeChunks = postcodes.ChunkBy(100); postcodeChunks.ForEach( postcodeList => { var response = httpClient .Post ( "postcodes", new MultipleGeolocationInfoRequest {Postcodes = postcodeList.ToArray()}); } ); ChunkB...

Detecting mismatches against constants in scanf format string

Vote count: 0 From the man page of scanf: A directive is one of the following: A sequence of white-space characters (space, tab, newline, etc.; see isspace(3)). This directive matches any amount of white space, including none, in the input. An ordinary character (i.e., one other than white space or '%'). This character must exactly match the next character of input. (emphasis mine) A conversion specification, which commences with a '%' (percent) character. A sequence of characters from the input is converted according to this specification, and the result is placed in the corresponding pointer argument. php convert date to mysql format

Vote count: 0 I gone through convert php date to mysql format but still i have few issues and questions, In general, my application can input dates in Y-m-d, d-m-y, m-d-Y, jS, F Y format, or even with '/' separator. I want this dates to be converted to in mysql Y-m-d format, I tried as below, but it shows different output then expected, Non working date_format(date_create_from_format('d-m-Y', '02-25-2016'), 'Y-m-d'); Working date_format(date_create_from_format('d-m-Y', '25-02-2016'), 'Y-m-d'); So it seems format and string to be match in same way, otherwise its not interpreting correctly, What is best way to convert above 4 format inputs to mysql(Y-m-d) format? Rails: Storing images with context information from associated models' update forms

Vote count: 0 I am relatively new to Ruby on Rails. What I am trying to accomplish has not been covered by the tutorials I found and I am unsure how to research the best approach, so I am hoping for some pointers from the community. Thank you! This is what I am going for: There are Schools and Cities. Both have Users that will have respective roles. The users are supposed to upload photos. These need some meta information stored with them, most importantly the photo credits. I am assuming best practice would therefore be to have a Photo model that stores the actual file link as a string, and the credits as a string, and then I would refer to the photo_id from the School or City. Photo would ...

How to send String in Encrypted Format from Client (Onpremise) to Azure

Vote count: 0 We have Client who holds On-Premise machine and would like to send text information to server in Encrypted format. What are best approaches for encrypting string before sending to WEB API hosted in Azure. We are thinking of either SSL thumbprint for encryption and decryption another thing is Azure Key vault where it hold the Symmeteric Key which is used for encryption and decryption. Can this be scenario for Azure Key Vault. previously we used SSL, but it needs to renewed for every 2 year. So we would like to prefer KeyVault rather than Certificate (SSL). ng-repeat not updating information after $scope was updated

Vote count: 0 I have an ng-repeat which creates a form with some starting data. Then the user is free to modify said data and the changes should appear in the form. Before that, the user submitted data are sanitized by another function, which is called by an ng-click on a button. Everything works well under the hood (I checked my $scope.some_array, from which ng-repeat takes the data and the new data is in the right place) but nothing happens on the page. The element: done {{field.nice_name}} {{field.nice_name}} save_field code: $scope.save_field = function (index) { console.log($scope.some_array[index]["content"]) var value = $("#field-" + index).children("div").children("input").val() var ...

Getting information 'randomly' placed inside a string

Vote count: 0 I need to extract information from this string (was bytes, but I decoded it): x00x00x00!broadcast "updatedirection 126.0" I need to see whether it contains broadcast, updatedirection and also see what the number is at the end. My first solutions were: data = data.split('!') data = data[1] but the symbol in that position seemed to change randomly and with no apparent patte at all. Then I tried: data = data[12:] But the string length changed all the time, so that didn't work. I am doing this for a computer science project in school where I am using BYOB (based on Scratch, a simple language to teach young people how to program) and sockets to send data between them to make a LAN m...

What is a functional approach to perform millions of unique tranformations in Scala?

Vote count: 0 I have an object Person, this object goes through millions of unique transformations and these transformations have to be done in order, sequentially. Traditionally, I can do this: var bob = new Person() birth(bob) oneYearOld(bob) middleSchool(bob) highSchool(bob) // ...million more transformations So my questions are, how can I do it functionally (no side effects/pure function) in Scala? And if I use val bob, will I be creating millions of copies of bob which may lead to memory issues? asked 1 min agoZ-1 Let's block ads! بخوانید...

What format is Microsoft GraphApi ICalUid in?

Vote count: 0 Doing some work with the Microsoft GraphAPI and the CalendarView. For fun I created an event through Google and invited my Office365 account to ensure the ICalUid between the two were the same.
