We have Client who holds On-Premise machine and would like to send text information to server in Encrypted format. What are best approaches for encrypting string before sending to WEB API hosted in Azure. We are thinking of either SSL thumbprint for encryption and decryption another thing is Azure Key vault where it hold the Symmeteric Key which is used for encryption and decryption. Can this be scenario for Azure Key Vault. previously we used SSL, but it needs to renewed for every 2 year. So we would like to prefer KeyVault rather than Certificate (SSL).
