Reading data from an excel file every 500 milliseconds in c#

I have an excel file that contains some records and that records refresh with in a second.I want to store all records in SQL Server Database.So My intention is to read data from this file into my database after every 500 milliseconds. I have successfully been able to read the data and store in my database.But after few minute excel become hung and not responding state.Please help me.
