I wasn't sure of updating to El Capitan because I read bad reviews about it. However I was forced to update so that I could update my Xcode. Now when I try to shutdown my mac it won't shutdown, Menu bar disappears and the application dock stays active. I've been obligated to force quit by pressing the power button for 10 sec.(And as everyone knows thats not a good way to power off your computer in the long run.) I've been trying to find a solution for the last 4 days and haven't found one that could solve my problem.
I read that it could be the Wacom application so I erased it and nothing.
Then I read that there might be a file in /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/HAL/ with the name Avid CoreAudio.plugin but I don't have it.(so I guess thats not it.)
I've done and installed all updates (everything is up to date.)
I have no third party applications Installed (Except Creative Cloud from adobe. Photoshop, Illustrator, Muse, etc. and that doesn't seem to be the problem.)
Then also that an application that starts when you tu on your mac but I have none that fire up when I start my computer.
I've read that your trashcan has to be empty. (Its empty and Nothing happens.)
Then I've read that it could be the Finder that isn't quitting. When I use command+option+esc and open the force quit applications on Finder it says Relaunch instead of force quit. I'm not that computer savvy so I don't know what to do.
Please can someone help me?
Has anyone had the same problem and can you guide me on the right path to solve this issue?
(I don't live in the US and in the country where I live there isn't an apple genius bar or even apple store for support.)
