I'm writing an app that is supposed to have a Bump (like the Bump API) interaction. Two users will bump their phones and then the app will share their information with the other person.
The app sends accelerometer, location, and time data to an endpoint (/bump-match). But I'm not sure where to begin with my matching algorithm. The backend is written in Flask. And I'm wondering maybe I should use Firebase?
When a request is sent to my endpoint, should I just store the data in my database then query the database for an event that's occurred in the same location, time, and with similar accelerometer data?
Any help/direction would be useful! Happy to clarify.
