I am a newbie in programming. I just finished a college course on C programming which I'm pretty comfortable with.
I recently disassembled an old laptop to look at all the inteal hardware in detail.
I know that C is a pretty low level language which is used extensively for programming hardware which brings me to my question - Is it possible to use any of the hardware at my disposal and do some basic re programming of it and do something really cool by actually manipulating the hardware.
I ask this because I read somewhere that a hacker the iPhone by disassembling it and coecting some parts to his computer and writing some basic code. I don't know the exact details but this fascinates me immensely.
So any advice on how to do such low level hardware programming would be of great help. Thanks in advance.
