I am creating a table with 7,000 stocks and historical end of day prices for the last 7 years or 1,400 days of data. I need to query stock prices frequently as of a specified dates (say 30 days ago, 1 year ago or 6 years). Additionally, I need to keep adding data everyday and keep dropping data over 7 year old.
I have the following structure:
- Ticker
- D161006
- D161006
- D161005
- D161004
- ...
Is there a better way to name my columns taking into account easy or creation, organization, and querying?
