I have recently began researching development of Web Services using Java. Years ago when I began leaing about web services, I used JAX-RS. I believe JAX-RS uses technologies which are based on HTTP. From my research, I have read that HTTP is the old way and HTTP/2 and WebSockets are more current. With this in mind, I wanted to ask the community what are the common tools for creating web services these days in Java? What APIs exist that people use to make Web Service development easier to accomplish? I know this is a broad topic, but I just need to be pointed in the right direction. Any suggestions would be extremely helpful. Thank you in advance!
