Using android 5.1.1./ Nexus 5 phone. Before performing a BTLE scan, I check the BluetoothAdapter bluetoothAdapter = BluetoothAdapter.getDefaultAdapter(); to see if the radio is enabled, and it will report true (enabled).
then I will issue the scan... and immediately get an exception that the BT adapter is NOT tued on, and no scan will work. However, when I go into the phones settings, it shows its ON.
At this point for me to use the BT, I must reboot the phone, to get the radio back... Has anyone seen this, and perhaps have a workaround. I have tried calling the enable function. bluetoothAdapter.enable();, but that too fails until I reboot the phone.
