react native how to pass closeDrawer() to renderNavigationView component?

Basically, I have a component Called DrawerLayout, and DrawerContent which contains the contents of the Drawer.

Here is what the render() in DrawerLayout retus:

      <DrawerLayoutAndroid
        ref='navigation'
        drawerWidth={300}
        renderNavigationView={() => <DrawerContent />}
      >
        <DefaultRenderer navigationState={children[0]} onNavigate={this.props.onNavigate} />
      </DrawerLayoutAndroid>

In the documentation, it says that DrawerLayoutAndroid has closeDrawer() and openDrawer() methods. How can I pass these to DrawerContent?
