I have lately been testing my inteal network setup for security issues, including problems that arise with the use of WiFi. I have written a python script that will continuously generate Dot11-deauth-packtes and send them to client stations, the AP and the broadcast address. The script works well and I verified all packets within Wireshark.
However, when I began tests on my whole network, I noticed that different OS would react differently. Linux-based systems (Android,Debian etc.) will de-auth entirely and their WiFi communication will be dropped. With Windows-based systems, they seem to the be able to protect themselves from such an attack. They, like all other devices, get de-authed at first but soon after are able to recover and then seem to ignore all further De-auth-Packets.
My question is:
Which security measure is in place there? Has anyone of you had experience with Windows Wifi De-auth? Is it possible to transfer this protection over to my other clients on my network?
I tried to google for special WiFi-protections on Windows already with no luck.
Thanks in advance.
Oh and feel free to edit this post if you are unhappy with my wording.
