I got a weired behaviour using pyside's QFileDialog.getSaveFileName. I'd like to save a pdf using this code snipet:
fileName = QFileDialog.getSaveFileName(self, "export project information", "/Users/s/Desktop", "PDF Files (*.pdf)")
print fileName
When I execute the code I get the Dialog window in which I can enter the name of the file to be saved. However if I print the path the entered filename itself doesn't get retued. It always retus "(u'/Desktop', u'PDF Files (*.pdf)')". Even if I change the location and the name the output stays always the same.
What do I wrong? Also when I run the function the dialog displays the default name "Untitled.pdf". Can I change that? I already tried different methods but nothing worked. Can anyone please help?
