How can I python to open a file on my mac? I am currently working on a project to proof read for curse words but I can't seem to be able to open the word document in which I want python to check. I have all the code done and dusted but I am having trouble opening the file for python to read. I am also a begier so if you could please explain it to me that would be great.
Here is a sample of my code:
def read_text():
quotes = open("/Users/AquaAurelius/Documents/Home/Programming/Houston")
contents_of_file = quotes.read()
#print contents of file
print(contents_of_file)
quotes.close()
read_text()
