Overview:
Due to the needs of our business, we need to provide two schemes for the project (debug / release). And for the release scheme, we should not tick the "debug executable" function. However we found out the Xcode (version 6.2 and version 7.1 above) will not allow us to disable this function for devices with iOS 7 or below.
Step to reproduce issue:
- Coect a device with iOS 7 or below to your mac.
- Select your scheme and click "Edit Scheme"
- Try to disable "debug executable" from "Run" tab & "Test" tab
- Jump to other tabs and come back to above two tabs again
- You will find the "debug executable" ticked automatically again.
Question:
- Is this a correct behaviour for particular iOS version device?
- Anyone know what is the root cause of this issue if the answer of Q1 is NO.
- Any related research articles you can suggest?
