jQuery and IE Selectors

I have a bunch of these types of lines with data in them.

The color changes in the style a bit from green to red.

    <div class="taskColorBar" style="background-color: orange;">&nbsp;</div>
        Same text
    </div>
</div>

Then I have this jQuery code;

$('.taskItem .taskColorBar[style="background-color:orange"],[style="background-color: orange"]').parent().hide();

This works fine in Chrome and Firefox but nothing happens in I.E. 11.

Are the selectors different in I.E.?
