I'm new to working with IIS so bare with me!
I am updating an old script that was used to configure applications for IIS 5 and we've since updated to IIS 7 and these commands no longer work. (There were others but I managed to track their updated equivalents down) I've can't seem to find any decent resources in order to accurately convert these to work the same for IIS 7.
cscript /nologo %SYSTEMDRIVE%inetpubAdminscriptsadsutil.vbs APPCREATEPOOLPROC w3svc/1/root/Proj1/sub1/app-webstart
cscript /nologo %SYSTEMDRIVE%inetpubAdminscriptsadsutil.vbs SET w3svc/1/root/Proj1/sub1/app-webstart/AppFriendlyName "app-webstart"
cscript /nologo %SYSTEMDRIVE%inetpubAdminscriptsadsutil.vbs SET w3svc/1/root/Proj1/sub1/app-webstart/AccessScript True
These commands each give an error like this:
The path requested could not be found.
ErrNumber: -2147024893 (0x80070003)
Error trying to get the path of the application: w3svc/1/root/Proj1/sub1/app-webstart
