I am attempting to use the GAM function from the mgcv package in order to model data which has 1 response variable and 10 explanatory variable.
The response variable is an integer between 0 and 10 (inclusive) that has a binomial response to each term, i.e. each term contributes a 1 or a 0 (and 10 variables means the response variable can take values between 0 and 10).
How might I go about this?
So far I have tried something of the form:
gam(formula=y~s(x1)+s(x2)+s(x3)+s(x4)+s(x5)+s(x6)+s(x7)+s(x8)+s(x9)+s(x10),
data=SomeData, family=binomial(link = "logit"))
But the problem is that the response is not between 0 and 1.
