Android UUID v4 using seed

I want to have UUID which identifies a device. I use an android id for this

String android_id = Settings.Secure.getString(_appActivity.getContentResolver(), Settings.Secure.ANDROID_ID);

The issue is to generate UUID v4 from seed. UUID.nameUUIDFromBytes uses version 3.
