how are you? (sorry for my bad english) (i'm not going to put code because i'm not in my own computer and the sintesis of the post is only a question, depends of the answer i'm going to start coding about)
Well i'm trying to make a automated select form (i haven't idea about how to make it work), and searching i found Django-Smart-Selects.
This app works excelent i make it work but only with 3 models, and i need to chain more models. But only works in the Admin not in the templates!
And for other side i need to use more models. I have the following
The app Charges whith four models
department
1 CharField - "name"
sub_department
1 ForeignKey - "department" 1 CharField - "name"
charge
2 ForeignKeys - "department" and "sub_department"
1 CharField - "name"
class
3 ForeignKeys - "department", "sub_department" and "charge"
1 CharField - "class"
And the thing that i need to do is that when i show the CreateEmployeeForm to the user, and the user gets to the select fields, when he select the department, automaticaly load in the second select field only the sub_departments related with the departments, and the same with the charge and class.
i'm thinking that the only way to do this is using AJAX, am i right?
