Whats causing all these errors in my GUI?

Vote count: 0 I'm trying to work on my GUI coding so am taking it upon myself just to create several different interfaces for examples I had been given in class. Im trying to create a GUI here that at the top has Labels followed by their respective text fields for the user to input, with one on top of the other. I then want this to be followed by a series of two buttons and finally a results field that is uneditable (as will later introduce some fields for results) and opaque. I get a whole series of errors so was wondering if I am just doing something stupid wrong. The code for the panel is here: import java.awt.BorderLayout; import java.awt.Color; import java.awt.Dimension; import java.awt...

How can I remove an element that is NOT on the DOM using jQuery?

Vote count: 0 I want to use jQuery to manipulate a cloned element that is not on the DOM, to perform actions like .remove() on it. Say I have the following code: var div= $(' '); div.remove('#div1'); console.log(div.html()); The result on the console will still show that the element was not removed. string manipulation is not desirable, I'm looking for something analogue to $().remove() asked 1 min agoRicardo 1 Answer Vote count: 0 Using the context argument of the jQuery() function: $('div', div).remove('#div1'); answered 1 min agoRicardo Let's block ads! بخوانید...

Best way to protect against attacks when using iframe from 3rd party

Vote count: 0 I am developing a site that will use players from soundcloud, youtube, and audiomack just to name few. I was reading about the sandbox attribute for protecting against some attacks when using iframes . I trust these sites, but still want the comfort of knowing my site won't be in jeopardy for using the iframe players provided by them or any third party. The sandbox attribute seemed like it would do the trick, but gave me problems with some of the players, not to mention older browsers don't support it. is there any other solution I can consider. I'm creating the frames myself with just using the id and api from the respected sites. asked 1 min agoLuna Let's block ads! بخوانید...

Setting Default Role using Enum based on Project creation

Vote count: 0 I have a Projects and a Relationships model to establish a 'following' relationship between a user and a project. I established three roles for the 'Relationship' using enum in the relationship model...they are admin, collaborator, and visitor. I need, however, to set the default role based upon the way in which the Relationship between user and project is established. The following simple scenarios are needed: (a) A user who creates a project is automatically following the project...the Relationship role should be set to 'Admin' upon creation of the project (b) if a visitor to the site simply navigates to a project profile page, they can click the 'Follow' button to establish ...

Using SendGrid Inbound Parse Webook with Un-verified SSL certificate

Vote count: 0 My Heroku Rails Production app is secured via an SSL certificate. For my staging environment, however, I rely on a self-signed certificate. When using SendGrid's inbound parse webhook, it attempts to parse an email and POST to an endpoint in my app for processing. On staging all the requests are failing because REASON500 Can't coect to staging.example.co:443 (certificate verify failed) Is there a way to circumvent this, similar to the -k flag with curl that lets you ignore SSL with an insecure coection asked 51 secs agouser2490003 Let's block ads! بخوانید...
