Using transactionally in Slick 3

Vote count: 0 Usually you would run two or more statements in a transaction. But in all the examples I could find on using transactionally in Slick 3, there's a for/yield statement to group these statements, when I usually use for in a loop. This works (deleting from two tables in a transaction): val action = db.run((for { _...

Using SDL MiniFuzz on MVC App

Vote count: 0 I'm currently working on a project where we are required to do Fuzz Testing, though I'm not entirely sure if you can or not on MVC. I was pointed to Microsoft's SDL MiniFuzz app for doing my Fuzz Testing, but quickly realized it accepts .exe, which I do not have. My question is can MiniFuzz do any testing on a Web App? And if not, what is out there to do Fuzz Testing on Web Apps? asked 8 mins agoIyaTaisho Let's block ads! بخوانید...

c# evaluate code inline (or using reflection)

Vote count: 0 I've simplified this a lot to get to the core of the issue: I have a control that needs properties populated. Unfortunately the values are all sitting in CodeDom.CodeStatements. So I literally have to fish for the values by using code like this : static string GenerateCode(CodeStatementCollection statements, Control control) { var writer = new StringWriter(); var compiler = new CSharpCodeProvider(); foreach (CodeStatement statement in statements) { var codeAssignStatement = statement as System.CodeDom.CodeAssignStatement; var left = codeAssignStatement?.Left as System.CodeDom.CodePropertyReferenceExpression; if (left == null) { continue; } var right = codeAssignStatement.Right ...

Mapbox-GL why not using AGG for map rendeing?

Vote count: 1 AGG (Anti-Grain Geometry) is a High Quality Rendering Engine for C++. OpenGL ES is a royalty-free, cross-platform API for full-function 2D and 3D graphics on embedded systems. But AGG seems more efficient than OpenGL ES in map rendeing, like Mapnik is using AGG. Q1: Mapbox-GL why not use AGG but use OpenGL? Q2: What's the difference between AGG and OpenGL ES? How do I get the actual dimensions (i.e., sans-black bars) of a YouTube video using the JS iframe API?

Vote count: 0 I need to know the actual width and height of a YouTube video embedded in my website. Here's a crude illustration. I've searched through the API docs and I haven't found a way to do this. I've noticed the player variable contains a method called showVideoInfo() which overlays exactly the data I want on the video player... but unfortunately since it is in the iframe I'm unable to access it from JavaScript. Is there any way to do this without having a backend script that queries the JSON API? Because I'd seriously rather not have to do that. asked 2 mins agoMichael Phillips Let's block ads! بخوانید...

Right now, the whole thing is working pretty well, but I have one issue. I have a column that will read "Good" or "Bad" depending on whether the student meets the above condition. The function tus these into an array. I would like to use the index of the "Bad"'s to...

Modofying a file at a certain position without using the temp file trick and in-memory data keeping

Vote count: 0 The reason why I decided to asks this question is that I've been recently working on a data mining project where I have massive raw data files in plain text format and by the word massive I really mean the size of the files are so big that you can't simply browse them using any text editor. Sometimes I encounter a badly formatted row somewhere in those file, and let's say I waa remove it. Unquestionably, that would be impossible to keep all the records in the memory, and using simply a StreamReader to read the blocks, and copying the line to another file over a StreamWriter is very inefficient. The problem is that, in data mining, raw files are normally preserved in plain text ...

Using a large data set of address to create a Google API heat map

Vote count: 0 I'm trying to create a heatmap using Google's API, but ruing into a few issues. The main issue I have run into so far is converting a large set of about ~25000 addresses into geocoordinates for use in the API. The two approaches I have used are Google's own API, which has heavy limitations, and Python's Geopy module, which also has limitations. Since I am trying to convert ~25000, Geopy's one second delay is a pretty steep issue. The second issue I can see coming is a size limitation. Once I have a list of ~25000 geocoordinates, putting those into an array in Javascript seems ridiculous. Assuming a user would upload a text file in a format like this: 12.3456,-12.3456 23.4567,-2...
