I am (a beginner) having an issue using PHP to update two tables in MySQL. Table “customer” with the fields ‘customerID’ (auto incremented) and ‘name’. The table email with fields ‘email’ and customerID. I am using a simple PHP contact form to update both tables with information. I would like to copy the AI field customerID from the ‘customer’ table and update the second table of “email” with the customerID and the user entered email address. If I strip out the lines 12 and 13 of the following code and drop the customerID bit from the query’s It inserts data into both tables (but no cusomerID in the email table of course). If i include it no data is updated in either. I know its a my syntax but I am having trouble locating it, extra set of eyes could help!

here is the mostly functional code
